NSIA has established its third campus in central Auckland which is located at 100 Symonds Street - it is making an impressive presence on the education landscape.
The driving goal of NSIA is ‘To inspire a lifelong passion for hospitality, culinary arts and business learning’ and this certainly reflected in the quality of the build being established.
Towering up to 9 floors the professional facilities will be completed by the middle of the 2011 academic year. The ground floor will host our fully equipped training restaurant and café. The first floor will contain theory and practical facilities which includes barista and cocktail/bar training. Hotel training will become a feature in the new facilities that will allow NSIA candidates to develop their knowledge and skills in this dynamic industry.
From the second floor up will be multiple departments covering administration, career services utilising our Connect team, management training and the culinary arts (having modern kitchen facilities) along with other new aspects of hospitality training added over time.
This year is shaping up to be a significant time for the hospitality industry with the Rugby World Cup drawing 60,000 plus visitors to the shores of New Zealand - the professional team at NSIA are positioning well to meet the demands of this ever growing industry.
