NSIA Fundraising Stars

During the four weeks of December 2010, 3,571 people arrived at the Auckland City Mission seeking some form of assistance – a figure that translated into support for more than 10,000 individuals.

In November and December 2010 NSIA students and lecturers were very busy working on a great fundraising initiative to generate money for the Auckland City Mission for its busiest time of year. NSIA along with other sponsors donated time, personnel, ingredients and equipment to the charity.

Great team work by the NSIA tutors saw people selling gingerbread Christmas packs at places like the Coatesville Markets, Britomart, and some students sold them at La Cigale- a French market in the city. Friends and families got behind us by buying packs for stocking fillers and gifts for friends and neighbours.

NSIA would once again like to thank all of our sponsors and congratulate the team members that did a fantastic job with this project by co-ordinating the sponsorship of ingredients, students, baking, icing, packaging and selling of all 400 packs!
