They are being rewarded for their hard work, skills and attitudes. This is NSIA’s way of thanking our very best students.

This award is for a student that has showed passion, determination and a great attitude towards learning during their time here at NSIA.

This award goes to the student that has shown the most potential, flair and understanding of food during their time at NSIA. They have exceeded expectations on a number of occasions and they have made the School very proud!

NSIA Patisserie Student of the Year Award: Sponsored by CSC buying Group, Wheelers Books and Liquor King, Skellonz, Southern Hospitality.
This award goes to the student that has shown the most potential, flair and understanding of patisserie and cookery during their time at NSIA. They have exceeded expectations on a number of occasions and they have made the School very proud!

NSIA Hospitality and Barista Student of the year Award: Sponsored by Mercure, Liquor King, Southern Hospitality, Wheelers, More FM, Bidvest and Altura Coffee.
This award goes to the student that has shown the most potential, flair and understanding of what it takes to succeed in the New Zealand hospitality industry as a supervisor or manager of a Front of house position.. They have exceeded expectations on a number of occasions and they have made the School very proud!

EDEN PARK EVENTS PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is an open category award; it is presented to a student either current or graduated from NSIA that has worked in some of Eden Parks largest sporting events held over the last 12 months.

Presenting award: Maria Syme and Julian Gill of Eden Park Catering.

H.S.I Workplace Award: Sponsored by H.S.I and Skellonz
Name: Vinh Hoa Ly (Jimmy), working for Bolero Albany
Person awarding the prize: Michelle Fouwler (H.S.I) will present trophy, Chin Lee (Skellonz) will also present a book donated from Skellonz foods, and also Joewi, Jimmy’s Boss, from Bolero will be there to congratulate him.
NSIA Top Student Award: Sponsored by North Shore International Academy
This award goes to the student that has shown the most passion, flair and talent for their chosen career. They have represented NSIA in the culinary fare, and have shown strong potential for a long and successful career in the hospitality industry.
This award has special meaning to NSIA, as it has been created in loving memory of Otto Groen QSM, it will be presented each year to the Most Professional Student of NSIA, it will be presented, filled with Oranges, and accompanied by a bottle of Grand Manier and Otto’s Crepe Suzette Recipe.
